The string magnet is a efficiency-focused auxiliary tool for downhole fishing and junk milling operations, built to cut non-productive time (NPT) and drilling costs. It reimagines traditional workflows: instead of tripping out post-milling to deploy a separate magnetic fishing tool, it pairs directly with junk mills during operations—removing the need for an extra well trip.

As milling progresses, its high-strength magnetic body captures ferrous debris (from milled material) via mud circulation, lifting the debris to surface alongside the drill string. This enables real-time bottomhole cleaning mid-milling, keeping the wellbore clear without workflow interruptions. Compatible with API connections (NC23 to 6 ⅝REG) and 5 ½”–13 ⅜” casing, it integrates smoothly into onshore/offshore drill strings for post-accident well remediation.
