DOUBLE ACTING DRILLING JAR
TECHNICAL SUMMARY
Hydraulic-mechanical double acting drilling Jar is designed to deliver hydraulic delay when jarring up or down, complete with a mechanical lock in each direction. It integrates upward jarring with downward jarring and has all advantages of both mechanical drilling jar and hydraulic drilling jar.
Orchid Energy double acting hydraulic-mechanical drilling jar applies to all kinds of drilling operations and be used through combining with drilling tools. When the downhole tools get stuck, it can generate upward jarring or downward jarring through lifting and landing drilling strings, and release block and stuck by several times jarring to recover normal drilling operation promptly.
Avoiding resistance and stuck which may cause further accident and caused greater economic loss. If releasing force is failed, it can dynamically adjust at any time on sites.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
▪️Up jarring
Lowering drill string to make drilling jar closed completely (in locking position), elevating drill string by the order of small tonnage to larger tonnage, whichmake spring and hydraulic cylinder delay, when mandrel move to a position andbecome release resistance, the spring force stored in drill string will transfer toupforward energy and up jarring. Repeating the above several times can force tooto produce continues up jarring.

Move up and down the drill string to make driling jar closed completely (in locking position), lowering drill string to make spring compressed and stored energyWhen pressure of jar is larger than the desired lower unlocking force, grapple willslide out from mandrel to release the locking and make down jarring. Repeatingthe above several times can force tool to produce continues down jarring.
