Kazakhstan's energy minister says it may extend diesel import ban

Nogayev said that the Kazakh government has not yet made a final decision on this issue, but Kazakhstan's domestic diesel market may be overstocked. Thanks to a series of policies and measures taken by the government to "consume inventory", the Kazakh government was able to avoid the shutdown of oil refineries during the epidemic period and ensure the balance of supply and demand in the domestic fuel market.

During the visit, Nogayev visited two thermal power plants and Pavlodar petrochemical plant in the state.

It was reported on November 2 that Kazakhstan plans to extend the ban on the import of diesel oil (except for diesel used in winter and in cold regions) until April 2021, Kazakh energy minister Nogayev said during a work visit in Pavlodar Prefecture.
